James M. Johnson, M.D.
Dr. Johnson attended undergraduate school at Northwest Missouri State University, and graduated with a degree in Pre-Professional Zoology with a Chemistry minor. He attended medical school at University of Missouri – Columbia, and completed his residency at Banner Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona, specializing in obstetrics and gynecology. He is a board certified physician with interests in obstetrics and gynecologic surgery, including robotic assisted minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Johnson is the Chairman for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and OB Hospitalist Director at Banner Estrella Medical Center.
Raymond D. Suarez, M.D.
Dr. Suarez completed undergraduate school at Creighton University. He attended medical school at Georgetown University, and finished with his residency at Northwestern in Chicago, Illinois specializing in obstetrics and gynecology. He is a board certified physician with interests in obstetrics and gynecology, including robotic assisted minimally invasive surgery.
Briggs Geier, D.O.
Dr. Geier graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Biology. She attended medical school at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona and completed residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Banner Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Phoenix. She is board certified. She is a member of American Medical Association and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology with interests in all aspects of general obstetrics and gynecology.
Cari Cowling, M.D.
Dr. Cowling received her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University with a degree in Genetics. She completed medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas. She finished with her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and Parkland Memorial Hospital. She is a board certified physician and enjoys the full spectrum of obstetrics and gynecology including robotic assisted minimally invasive surgery.
Heather Andrews, M.D.
Dr. Andrews graduated from the University of Akron with a degree in Natural Sciences. Her medical school education was completed at Northeast Ohio Medical University and she graduated from her residency at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She is a board certified physician and enjoys all that general OB/GYN has to offer.
Meghan MacCleary, D.O.
Dr. MacCleary received her undergraduate degree from Arizona State University. She completed medical school at the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale. She finished with her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Medstar Washington Hospital Center. Her interests include all aspects of obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. MacCleary is a board certified physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Alexandra Rodriguez, M.D.
Dr. Rodriguez graduated from The University of Arizona with a degree in Physiology. She attended medical school at San Juan Bautista School of Medicine in her home town of Caguas, Puerto Rico. She completed her residency training at The University of Oklahoma, Tulsa campus. She is fluent in English and Spanish and is passionate about all aspects of OB/GYN, women’s health and education.
Zamyra Lambert, P.A.-C.
PA Lambert graduated from Christian Brothers University with a bachelors degree in Natural Science. She obtained her master degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Christian Brothers as well. She is board certified and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Association of Physician Assistants in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her interest include adolescent gynecology and general obstetrics.
Micki Sund, C.N.M.
Micki Sund, MSN, CNM-BC received her undergraduate degree from Westminster college in Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated with her MSN in Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, Kentucky. She is a Board Certified Nurse Midwife. She is passionate about women’s care including, pregnancy, contraception and well women’s care.
Tori White, C.N.M.
Tori White, MSN, CNM-BC, received her undergraduate degree from Grand Canyon University. Tori then worked as a labor and delivery nurse at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center. Her passion for caring for women continued to grow and she returned to school and obtained her MSN through Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, KY. She is a board certified nurse midwife. Her interests include prenatal care, contraception and wellness education.
Heather Young, F.N.P-C.
Heather Young, MSN, FNP-C, comes to us with over 12 years of nursing experience working in the CVICU/Medical ICU, Labor and Delivery, and Endoscopy settings. Most recently she spent the last 10 years serving and empowering women in Labor and Delivery. She received her undergraduate degree from Grand Canyon University and her MSN as a Nurse Practitioner from the University of Phoenix. Becoming a Nurse Practitioner has always been a lifelong goal in Heather’s nursing journey motivated by her strong desire to better serve women in her community. Her interests include well women’s care, adolescent education, contraception, and prenatal care.

Shefali Gandhi-List, M.D.
Dr. Gandhi-List attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville for her B.A in Molecular Biology and German and then graduated from Washington University in St. Louis for her M.D. degree. She completed residency at the Ohio State University in Columbus in 2005 and is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. She was in private practice for 6 years in the San Francisco area before becoming an OB Hospitalist at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center. Dr. Gandhi-List’s interests include improving perinatal safety on Labor & Delivery and taking care of high-risk obstetric patients.
Valencia Stephens, M.D.
Dr. Valencia Stephens is a board certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist. Dr. Stephens received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and her Doctor of Medicine degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio. She completed her residency training at Henry Ford Health Systems in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Stephens is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at Midwestern University Physician Assistant School in Glendale, Arizona. She is also past Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Adelante Healthcare.
Karen Starkey, M.D.
Dr. Karen Starkey obtained a degree in Pharmacy from UBC in Vancouver, BC and a honors Psychology degree from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. She completed her MD and residency training at UWO in London, Ontario and is board certified in the US and Canada. She has practiced in Arizona forover twenty years and is currently a member of the OB Hospitalist team at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center.
Dionne Mills, M.D.
Dr. Dionne Mills is originally from the Caribbean island of Trinidad. She attended University of Arizona where she earned a B.A. in Spanish and a B.S. in Physiology with a Chemistry minor. She graduated with honors from Ross University Medical Center with her M.D. degree and completed residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. She is a board certified Obstetrician Gynecologist. After working for 7 yrs in full scope private practice, she decided to make the switch to OB GYN hospitalist work at Banner Thunderbird earlier this year. She is a passionate advocate for empowering women through education, and fighting for equity in education.
